Mode of learning
The course will be conducted in the form of small group tutorial with the use of airplane models, ICAO charts, video clips, computer interactive programs and flight simulator software. Handouts and reference material will be provided to students. English will be used as the medium of instruction throughout the course with some occasional assistant in Cantonese.

Assessment
A comprehensive test, in the form of multiple choice questions, will be given to students at the end of the course to assess students’ learning.

Course duration
20 hours (8 sessions of 2.5h each)

Entry requirement
Age 15 or above, completed secondary 3 education
Acceptable standard in written and spoken English

Practical training
Having completed the theory course, arrangement could be made for students to attend a 10-hour flight training programme at the Royal Queensland Aero Club in Brisbane, Australia. Students may then have the opportunity to put the theory they have learned into practice and enjoy the excitement of flying! Details of the practical flight training may be found in separate leaflets.
