Who is this course for?
This course aims for students who have completed the Sky Experience Course and want to proceed to the next stage in flight training. A stage that every pilot, including the professionals, will never forget in their entire life – the first solo flying experience. Students will be taught in details in many areas such as the engine systems, flight instruments, more on operational procedures and basic navigation. Most important, for students not using English as their first language, they will be trained intensively on their competence of radio-telephony conversation in a simulated environment.
Course outline
- Introductory Aeronautical Knowledge – type knowledge
- Aerodynamics – wake & other turbulance
- Radio-telephony – Archerfield practises, taxi, departure, circuits, re-join procedures
- Flight Rules & Air Law – the student pilot licence, aerodromes, flight rules & conditions of flight
- Aircraft General Knowledge - engine systems & instruments, engine controls & handling, flight instruments
- Operation & Performance - airspeed & weight limitations, calculations & conversions
- Navigation – an introduction to navigation
- Human Performance & Limitations - hearing & vision
- Course Progress Tests
